Theme: Faith and Humanity
Faith is often confused with silence. We’re told to “leave it to God,” but as Timothy Aguilar writes, faith without action becomes surrender. In a nation struggling with division, real faith must open its eyes to pain and work for healing.
Aguilar writes from the heart of a believer who has lived through poverty, prejudice, and perseverance. His grandmother taught him that God’s love is not about judgment but justice — the kind that lifts people up rather than casting them out.
We can pray for peace, but we must also practice it. Humanity and faith are not separate virtues; they are one and the same.
Quote from the book:
“He is a loving God and asks that we help, not hurt each other.”
